MySpace Spam is out of control!

Run for your lives! MySpace SPAM is coming for you, and they're hungry!

I don't know what has caused MySpace to be so SPAMalicious lately, but I am getting tons of messages and "friend" requests from half-naked men and women who want you to add them as a friend so they can send you a link to their sex cam. I have always known about this type of SPAM, but I have never seen it appear so frequently.

Also, I have a true MySpace friend whose site got hacked so she is sending SPAM comments to all of her friends that say stuff like "OMG! Her boyfriend is going to be so mad when he finds out she did this!" Then, there is a link to some pornographic MySpace profile, but I think the profile has already been taken down so when you click on it, you can get an error page.

This is insane. MySpace better watch out, or the masses who use it will start ignoring it and search for smarter, safer social networking sites like VOX. ;)

I've always despised MySpace for its cheap looking pages and lack of functionality, but I have a MySpace just so I can experience all the crapitude for fun.

edit ... Well, I looked around the Account Settings area of MySpace today, and I realize I can turn "CAPTCHA" on in order to prevent SPAM. Pretty cool.
