Shakira's new album, She Wolf, is really, really good. I think it is one of the more entertaining albums I have downloaded (and actually paid for!) in a while.

Lady Gaga has a new song called "Alejandro" from her new EP, The Fame Monster. You can download the whole thing from Amazon MP3 for just $5.

"Alejandro" sounds like an homage to ABBA's "Fernando" and Ace of Base's "Don't Turn Around".

Precious

It cost about $10 million to make, and it has already brought in $5 million or more on a limited number of screens. There is talk of an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress for Mo'Nique who plays Precious' abusive mother.

Other actors in the movie are Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, and Paula Patton (wife of Robin Thicke). This movie should have a good soundtrack with all of the musical talent attached.

The main star who plays Precious is Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe, and she should have a promising career after all the buzz she has generated with her performance in this movie.

Mattel has a new game called Mindflex that uses the power of brain waves to make an object move. When I read about it in BusinessWeek, I couldn't help but think of a scene from the 1978 Brian De Palma movie, The Fury, starring Amy Irving. Here is the scene I thought of ...

Mozilla (maker of Firefox) has a new application called Raindrop, which will try to organize all of the messages you get from email and all of the social networking sites you belong to. It sounds pretty cool, but I can't figure out how to download and install it, yet.
