I started a Piracy Funds Terrorism, vol. 1, playlist on YouTube a while back (it actually survived a couple of usernames I have gone through since YouTube used to have a 2 strikes and you're out copyright infringement policy ... they seem to have gotten a little more tolerant lately). There were two songs left off of it. One was "URAQT", which is pretty much the same version that is on Arular, even though is says "Diplo Mix" after it. The other song is "Bingo", which has a different background on PFT (the background is a Jay-Z song). I will do a video for "Bingo" later, and I am sure it will be pretty much the same as this URAQT video, just tweaked a little.
Here is the video for URAQT, which I think came out better than some of my other videos ...
update ... and here is the last video ...
I got this from the M.I.A. Fans message board (of course) ...
"Get It Up" has 2 versions. The version in this ad is the Esau Mwamwaya version. The other version has Santogold, M.I.A., and Gorilla Zoe. Here are the 2 versions to listen to ...
Here is a new song by Major Lazer, featuring M.I.A. and Prince Zimboo. This is a remixed version by Switch.
Major Lazer ft. M.I.A. and Prince Zimboo - Baby Riddim (Switch Remix) ...
You may remember the name, Major Lazer, from this song ...
I was searching for "Lazer" on my iTunes, and this Louis Armstrong song came up (because one of the composers is Tom Glazer) so I just had to post it ...
Speaking of Switch (see above), he did a remix of Bjork's song Nattura that is pretty cool ...
I discovered Firefox Personas today. They are really cool themes that completely change how your browser looks. I chose the "Fireflies" Persona to go with my Noia 2.0 (eXtreme) browser theme, and the combination is really cool. I think they have tons of personas to choose from.
Noia 2.0 (eXtreme) theme (for the Firefox 3.5 browser)

M.I.A. has begun her NEET empire with a simple webpage that is really cool to look at. NEET is M.I.A.'s own personal record label. I think she may have used it to help distribute the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack, but don't quote me on that. She is definitely using it to market her protege, Rye Rye. Below is a screenshot of the website, but you need to go to the actual site to experience the magic of the graphics (you'll see what I mean).
I think "NEET" stands for "
My favorite song or remix of Rye Rye's is "Hardcore Girls", which she did with The Count and Sinden. Here is the Don Rimini remix (which I have posted before) ...

Google increased the maximum size of a Gmail email attachment. Here is a story about it from Austin Business Journal ...

You may ask "why does this matter?", but being able to send a larger file with Gmail is great. I recently had a PowerPoint project that was a little over 25MB in size. I had to put in on a USB drive, but it would have been nice to simply email to myself for storage and be able to download it to my work PC when it was time to do a presentation. Google is also increasing the maximum size of a video on YouTube from 1 GB to 2 GB, which means we should see some much higher quality videos soon. This is my favorite part of the article ...
The company warns, however, that users' attachments may bounce off of other email systems which have smaller attachment limits. This is apparently seen by the company as an entry to getting more Gmail users as it includes this suggestion on its Gmail help page: "If your attachment bounces, you should invite them to Gmail."
That statement is funny to me because I have sent tons of M.I.A. songs by email to people using Gmail, and it was always easier to email the attachments to people with Gmail accounts. The email would get refused by Hotmail and Yahoo! because the file sizes were too large. I don't know why everyone doesn't just wake up and start using Gmail. Some people still use aol.com email addresses. Yikes!

Wolfram Alpha is a new search engine that is not so much a competitor to Google as it is a complement to all search engines. What it does is take a subject and try to give you mathematical data based on the subject. It's actually kind of cool, and I am sure Google will absorb it one day. Here is an example ...

In other news, here is another photo of M.I.A. at the TIME 100 party. This time she is with the Twitter guys ...

Here are the results for M.I.A. on Wolfram Alpha ...
M.I.A. posted some photos on her MySpace blog of her and Oprah at the TIME 100 celebration. Her boyfriend, Benjamin Bronfman (aka Ben Brewer), was at the party with her.
M.I.A. was nominated for a BET Best New Artist award. M.I.A. has been around since 2004-2005 so it's kind of weird to have her nominated as a best new artist, but it's still nice.
Here is the link to the nominees.
I read an article on CNET about great ways to track traffic to your website, and my new favorite traffic-tracking site is Histats.com. It's totally free, and it's very easy to navigate. Today the website's Geolocation feature told me that people from the U.S., UK, Colombia, Mexico, Australia, and Slovenia are visiting this VOX blog. I think that is awesome. I've always loved the idea of somehow communicating with people around the world, even though I don't exactly have the money to travel around the world right now. It makes me feel a little bit more international. You can place the counter in the lower right part of the page that has the options "Edit" and "Hide".
Xmarks (formerly "Foxmarks) is a tool that you can add on to Mozilla's Firefox browser that stores all of your bookmarks. It will prompt you to "sync" everytime you add a new bookmark. I love this tool because I can go to any computer, download the Xmarks tool and have access to all of my bookmarks.
Allyson on America's Next Top Model did not win tonight. She was beaten by Teyona. Both of them were very good, but I thought Allyson had such a unique look that would look great for high fashion photos. I hope she gets a good modeling contract anyway so she can travel the world and hone her craft.

Here is a remix called New M.I.A. Song (Death to the Throne Remix) that has been out for a while, but it is really just a remix of Bucky Done Gun so I am going to call it Bucky Done Gun (Death to the Throne remix) ...
