This is a recent video clip from The Daily Show, where Jon Stewart showed how Karl Rove, Bill O'Reilly, Sarah Palin, Dick Morris, and Nancy Pfotenhauer contradict themselves when talking about Sarah Palin, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton. Bill O'Reilly's part comes off really bad, I think. It's very funny.

Google has updated its toolbar for Firefox 3. I love the Google Toolbar because you can add little buttons to it that will take you to sites like Wikipedia, Amazon, Gmail, and IMDB.com ...

Download the latest version of Google Toolbar (it will update itself when you restart Firefox 3 or maybe before then)

I read about an artist/band called Ladyhawke on the music blog, Arjan Writes, today. Ladyhawke's song, "Paris Is Burning", is pretty catchy and it slightly reminds me of Gary Numan's song, "Cars".

"Ladyhawke" is also the name of a movie from 1985 with Matthew Broderick, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Rutger Hauer. I have never seen it all the way through. I think there is a Canadian rock band called "Ladyhawk", but don't get them confused with the above singer!

M.I.A., Mozilla and Millions

There is a remix of M.I.A.'s "XR2" by Blaqstarr that I was able to download from the M.I.A. Fans message board. The picture that I put with the song is from a party at the Museum of Modern Art in New York called the "Party in the Garden", I think. There is a better picture of M.I.A. at the same party at People's website. I got the picture for the song from Bonafide-Hustler.com.

Mozilla wants 1 million downloads or more on June 17th when the official version of Firefox 3 will be released. I have been using the "release candidate" of Firefox 3 (I don't know what "release candidate" means, but I think that is the right phrase ... kind of like "beta" or "testing version"), and I really love it. It is definitely the fastest browser I have ever used. I hate, hate, hate Internet Explorer, but I have always loved the Firefox browsers. I try to tell all of my friends, co-workers, relatives, and even members at my credit union to use Firefox because it is safer (especially when combined with Google Toolbar), and it is faster and more customizable (I don't think that's a word).

Alicia the teenage Beauty Queen on ABC's "Wife Swap"

There are two videos on the internet that show Alicia, the daughter on the 1/2/08 episode of ABC's reality show, "Wife Swap". Alicia is portrayed as a spoiled princess who doesn't have to do chores or homework. Her mother does her homework for her. She also complains to her mom about breakfast cereal being bad, and she is rude to the wait staff at restaurants.

The video is pretty outrageous and hard to believe, but I think it is true for the most part. However, they left out some important parts of the show. Alicia's mother switches with a very feminist mother who homeschools her children. The feminist mother actually gets along with Alicia in the end, and Alicia learns how to cook and she does her own homework. Therefore, it may be Alicia's parents who have the problem, not Alicia. Also, the feminist mother is not perfect. She kind of shelters her children from the real world by keeping them at home all the time. She does give in a little at the end, though, and lets her young daughter dress up like a beauty queen. The top two videos are still pretty funny, no matter how much they leave out. You can download the entire episode if you want. Just search for "wife swap torrent", and make sure you have a program on your computer like bittorrent. When the search results come up, look for the "season 4, episode 1 wife swap" or some kind of result like that. You can find a torrent of just about anything if you search enough.

Radiohead's new "In Rainbows" album - pay what you want for it

I think Radiohead is brave and awesome for selling their new album, "In Rainbows", directly to their fans all by themselves. I signed up to receive the album about a week or more ago. The site asked me how much I wanted to pay for it, and I think I paid about $10 just to be supportive because I love the idea of an artist ignoring the big record companies who allow the RIAA to sue people who download music (read about that atrocity here).

I think the decision to fine that woman in Minnesota hundreds of thousands of dollars is insane. Let the fine be something like $1000. That would be more sensible. I guess they made the fine so large to deter other people from downloading music without paying for it. However, bands like Radiohead (and there are many other bands who have let their fans download their albums for free) are saying you can exist without charging for your music, or you can at least sell DRM-free music to fans at a low, low price.

Bands like Radiohead know that they are going to make most of their money touring. Tori Amos and M.I.A. know that, too. There is a good article about this in TIME magazine. You can read it here ...

M.I.A. vs. BioShock!

Well, really those two things have nothing in common, except for the fact that they are both released in America on August 21, 2007! Woohoo! Actually, I don't have an XBOX 360 so I don't think I will be able to play BioShock(a game that is supposedly based on an Ayn Rand Utopia gone horribly wrong) when it is released.

However, a trailer for BioShock was one of the first videos I uploaded to YouTube. It wasn't my video. I think I got it off of a site like IGN. I had to divide it up and upload it as two videos because it was so long. It's gotten several views so maybe by talking about BioShock here, I will be able to get some exposure for M.I.A.'s new album, Kala.

Do you know the cost of AKs up in Africa?

Well, I posted about M.I.A.'s song, "20 Dollar"(or $20 or 20$ or Twenty Dollar or Twenty Dollars or 20 Dollars ... whatever the proper title is), and then I found a link to download it. I am really loving the full, studio version of the song. It has a really cool, rich sound that fills your car and vibrates your seats when you play it as you drive. The quality is not CD-quality, though, so I can't wait to buy the album so that I will have that perfect sound that can only come from a CD or a high-quality mp3 with a good set of headphones.

There are a lot of leaks of M.I.A.'s album, Kala, going on, but I don't really care if I get it early or not. I still like to buy the actual CDs of artists that I really like, and August 21st is not that far away.

In other news, my friends and I went to the bar, RAIN, tonight and they were having a special theme called Madonna-rama or something like that. We were talking about Madonna songs that we did and did not like, and my friend said he did not care for "This Used To Be My Playground"(which was in the movie, "A League of Their Own", of course). I actually do like this song, though, so I am going to post it before going to bed tonight ...

Another song I thought of tonight for some strange reason(the melody of a dance song at the bar made me think of it) is from Marilyn Manson's album, "Holy Wood". The title of the song is "Coma Black: A. Eden Eye B. The Apple Of Discord" or something along those lines. My favorite part of the song is the line, " Burn all the good things in the eden eye".
