I wanted to set the destruction of the Death Star from "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi" to the song, "Pluto", by Bjork, and this is how it came out ...
One of my favorite movies, Working Girl, is on AMC right now. It's one of those movies that I have seen a dozen times, but I will stop and watch it again because it was done so well. Here is the trailer for anyone out there who lives on another planet and has never heard of the movie ...
Melanie Griffith hasn't been in too many good movies so it is refreshing to see her shine in this movie. Joan Cusack, Harrison Ford, and Sigourney Weaver are good as always. My favorite part of the movie is the ending, where she takes her little lunchbox to work and sits at the wrong desk (she sits at her assistant's desk and thinks that her assistant is her boss).
What a lot of people may not know is that there was a TV series, "Working Girl", based on the movie. Sandra Bullock played the lead role. The series did not last too long.
I have been listening to a CD I burned of music from Blade Runner. However, it's not like the soundtrack that you would buy off of Amazon. It's the definitive soundtrack or something like that. It has a lot more to it, and it has different versions of the same songs, I think. Blade Runner is one of my favorite movies. My favorite part is when Harrison Ford is trying to figure out where Zhora(Joanna Cassidy) is. The scene where he uses a special computer to zoom in on a photo to the scene where Zhora crashes through a clothing store's display window is one of the best sequences in film history. The soundtrack was done by Vangelis who also did that song from Chariots of Fire and lots and lots of other stuff. Vangelis was always very good at giving music an "electric" sound, if that makes any sense.
Here is the trailer for Blade Runner ...
And here are all the songs I have related to it(I may have duplicates of some or they may be the same title but different versions ... I am not taking time to figure that out).
I found a cool website that has everything you need to know about Blade Runner, called Blade Zone. That's where I got all of the pictures.
