MUXTAPE.com is fun site where you can upload songs to make a "mixtape". I decided to make a Kylie Minogue mixtape since I have been listening to her a lot lately. Here is the link ...
Humyo.com is a place where you can upload 30 GB of media and share it with others. I decided to upload the majority of my M.I.A. songs to it ...

I stumbled upon an article about an architect named Norman Foster who has designed the "Green Tower", a building to be built in Siberia. It looks really cool. Here is the link to what it is supposed to look like ...

Annie has a new song out called "I Know Ur Girlfried Hates Me". It's not as catchy as "Chewing Gum" and "Heartbeat", but it's not bad. I really love how Annie isn't afraid to put out a very electronic sound with her music.
Another song they have been playing lately at the bar I go to is Kylie Minogue's "In My Arms". When I first got the import of "X" a long, long time ago, I did not think much of this song, except for the fact that it had a really cool opening. However, after hearing the song in the club setting, it really has invaded my mind. The video is pretty cool, and I think they play some cool remix at the bar that makes it even better. Here is the song, along with some remixes and videos.

This is Kylie Minogue's song, "Like A Drug", which is the second song on her latest album, X. This song sounds really cool, and I was jamming to it while I was driving to my sister's house for Christmas last night. It made the drive a little better.
I got my Kylie Minogue X CD today in the mail from Amazon. I think it's an import. Anyway, I have only listened to the first song, "2 Hearts", which is also the first single from the album. It's a really good song. The album comes with another CD that I haven't even looked at yet. Surprises await. The pictures of Kylie in the CD booklet look really cool.
Here is the video on YouTube ...
I remember when Kylie came out with her version of "Locomotion" back in 1989, I think. My sister and I would sing along with it, but I think my sister would kind of roll her eyes at how pop it was. I didn't know anything about Kylie Minogue until years later when her song, "Can't Get You Out of My Head", was all over a radio station in Austin called Mega 93.3 (I think that's the right name/number). Mega eventually sold its soul to hip hop, but it was really cool for a few months there, playing DB Boulevard, Daniel Bedingfield, that song called "Addicted To Bass", I think, and lots of others. There was a commercial for the radio station that would come on TV a lot, and it would show all the videos of the songs being played. Kylie's video always stood out. To this day, I think it is one of the best pop/dance/electronic songs/videos ever.
Kylie's album after "Fever" was called "Body Language", and it is pretty good, too. The best song on it is "Slow", which I have posted on here before.
I listened to this song over and over again while I got ready for work ...

I love the little tune that comes in at 1:51 in the song. That is Kylie Minogue in the picture above, which is very fitting since I listened to "Slow" over and over again in my car as I drove to and from work.

My friend, Travis, took a photo of a butterfly on a flower on his patio, and it came out pretty cool looking. Here it is ...
and here is the song, "Butterfly", by Tori Amos ...
Here is another photo he took ...
And here is a "hidden track" from Kylie Minogue's Fever album, called "Butterfly" ...
Here is one last photo of the creature, and this one is kind of creepy looking ...
and here is the last song for this post, Smashing Pumpkins' "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" ...
These are two of my favorite remixes of Kylie Minogue's songs.
The first is the Scumfrog remix of Love at First Sight ...
The second one is Fischerspooner's remix of Come Into My World, which I have been listening to a lot in my car lately ...
The funny thing is that when I listen to the above remix, it makes me think of the song, "Bound For The Floor", by Local H. You know, the one with the lines "keep it copacetic" in it. Listen to both songs, and I am sure you will hear the similarity.
I think my favorite Kylie Minogue pop culture moment is when she played Green (Absinthe) Fairy in Moulin Rouge. I watched this scene after too much alcohol one night at a friend's apartment, and it was a very interesting experience ...
