If you are wanting to watch a movie with the Netflix movie viewer, and you are using the Firefox 3 browser, the movie viewer will not work in the browser since it only works with Internet Explorer. However, you can install the IE tab add-on into Firefox 3, right-click on the movie's link, and choose the option, "open with IE tab", or something like that. Then, it will work perfectly and you will still be using Firefox 3 instead of Internet Explorer (the worst browser ever!).
Here is a link to the IE tab add-on for Firefox 3 ...

Here are two funny YouTube videos that feature Joan Rivers . . .
Cliff Richard is also in the above video.
Here is a video of Joan Rivers on the British version of "The View". She talks some smack about Russell Crowe, and she doesn't realize that they don't have a 5-second delay for the purpose of censorship on the show ...
I hate censorship and love the Freedom of Speech so I think it is great that Joan Rivers did this. Russell Crowe probably is an asshole. I hate his movies.
Here are two new (to me) M.I.A. remixes by Instinct (MySpace for Instinct) ...
The two photos of M.I.A. were taken by Mike Schreiber (and altered by me, of course).
You can now download the official version of Firefox 3 by going here ...
Mozilla was having some trouble earlier today, but now it seems like everything is running smoothly.
Google has updated its toolbar for Firefox 3. I love the Google Toolbar because you can add little buttons to it that will take you to sites like Wikipedia, Amazon, Gmail, and IMDB.com ...
Download the latest version of Google Toolbar (it will update itself when you restart Firefox 3 or maybe before then)
Here is some music I listened to today ...
Another song from the Amores Perros soundtrack, this song is called "De Perros Amores" by Control Machete ...
I read about an artist/band called Ladyhawke on the music blog, Arjan Writes, today. Ladyhawke's song, "Paris Is Burning", is pretty catchy and it slightly reminds me of Gary Numan's song, "Cars".
Here is a remix of the song, and it is labeled "Peaches Remix", but I don't know how accurate that is ...
Here is the video for Ladyhawke's "Paris is Burning" ...
I love how she wears a Snoopy shirt in the video!
"Ladyhawke" is also the name of a movie from 1985 with Matthew Broderick, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Rutger Hauer. I have never seen it all the way through. I think there is a Canadian rock band called "Ladyhawk", but don't get them confused with the above singer!
Here is the trailer for the movie, "Ladyhawke" ...
Here is "Cars" by Gary Numan ...

There is a remix of M.I.A.'s "XR2" by Blaqstarr that I was able to download from the M.I.A. Fans message board. The picture that I put with the song is from a party at the Museum of Modern Art in New York called the "Party in the Garden", I think. There is a better picture of M.I.A. at the same party at People's website. I got the picture for the song from Bonafide-Hustler.com.
Here is the photo from People's website that I like, but I wish it was really large ...
You can download the song here if you like.
Mozilla wants 1 million downloads or more on June 17th when the official version of Firefox 3 will be released. I have been using the "release candidate" of Firefox 3 (I don't know what "release candidate" means, but I think that is the right phrase ... kind of like "beta" or "testing version"), and I really love it. It is definitely the fastest browser I have ever used. I hate, hate, hate Internet Explorer, but I have always loved the Firefox browsers. I try to tell all of my friends, co-workers, relatives, and even members at my credit union to use Firefox because it is safer (especially when combined with Google Toolbar), and it is faster and more customizable (I don't think that's a word).
Here is a video about the release of Mozilla's Firefox 3 on Tuesday, June 17th ...
In case you don't know where to go to download Firefox, the website is right here!
You can also download the latest "release candidate" of Firefox 3 before the real, official version comes out on Tuesday.
M.I.A. posted a little mix she did (I think) of all her Kala songs. The mix is fun to listen to. Here it is ...
M.I.A. - Kala Mini Mix (from M.I.A.'s MySpace)
The guy in the photo with M.I.A. is Benjamin Brewer who is in a band called The Exit. His dad is Chairman and CEO of Warner Music, Edgar Brofman Jr. M.I.A. is supposedly engaged to him. The photo came from Bonafide-Hustler.com.
Barack Obama will definitely be the Democrat nominee for the general election so that is very nice. Here is his speech from Tuesday night ...
Here is a video of a very awkward speech John McCain gave on the same day. The video shows reactions from lots of news pundits that agree he was not at his best when it came to the delivery.
Here's my link again for anyone who wants to donate to Barack Obama's (general election) campaign ...

I have a ton of Hot Chip remixes in my iTunes library, and I put the entire Hot Chip folder on a CD (data disk) recently to play in my car. Well, I discovered one remix that I really liked. Here is the song, "Biting Tongues", by Faultline remixed by Hot Chip.
Here is a video of the original version of the song on YouTube ...
Here is Faultline's official site, which I think is very well done.
My friend, Travis, showed some videos of a disco group from the 70s called Boney M. I had never heard of them before, but I guess I should have since they seem very popular then and now. Travis thought that M.I.A. may have gotten some of her style from Boney M, and I think he may be onto something.
Here are some my favorite videos of theirs ...
Here is the remix of Santogold's "You'll Find A Way" that is on their official album. I have posted this remix before, but this new one sounds a little cooler ...
The above remix was done by Switch and Sinden.
I saw the new Speed Racer movie at Alamo Drafthouse last night. It has gotten awful reviews, but the movie has some very cool scenes. I think the film should have been edited down to an hour and 30 minutes, and I think more color should have been inserted into the slow scenes. The racing scenes are amazing, and they would look great on an IMAX screen, especially if there were an IMAX 3D version of the film (which there may be for all I know). I know they did something like that for Beowulf (which I have not seen).
I think the soundtrack should have been more electronic, electro, techno, whatever. The major DJs out there should have contributed really cool songs to the score of the film. Fast electronic music would have gone perfectly with the scenes, and I think the movie had a little bit of that, but it needed way more.
Here is a very old remix of the Speed Racer song ...
The above song is not in the movie ... it's a very, very old remix. There is a remix of the Speed Racer theme at the end of the movie that Chim Chim dances around, too, while they show the credits. I will look for it. (edit ... I found it on Amazon's MP3 downloads)
Edit ... OK, here is the song Chim Chim dances to at the end of the new Speed Racer movie ...
I think that is the song. It sounds right.
Here is a scene from the end of the movie, but the quality of this video is not that good ...
The Wachowski brothers, who did Bound, The Matrix Trilogy, and V For Vendetta; did this Speed Racer movie, and I expected a lot more from them. However, I still think their visuals during the racing scenes are amazing so just remember that when you read all the horrible reviews of this movie (which is not as bad as the reviews say it is).
You can read a better review of the movie here at Ain't It Cool News. I swear some of these reviewers are ripping into this movie out of peer pressure. However, I think the movie really is the old cartoon brought to life. For fans of the old Speed Racer cartoon, I think the movie will be fun.
In other news, here is another fun song from Madonna's new album, Hard Candy, called "Spanish Lesson". It has really goofy lines like Entiendo means "I get it", but it is still a good song.
OK, here is yet another edit to this post (I think I have edited this post more than any other in the history of this blog) ... I wanted to buy Madonna's "Give It 2 Me (Paul Oakenfold Edit)" on iTunes, but I hate the DRM that goes with an iTunes song (DRM means digital rights management, and it means that you can only play the song on approved players like iTunes and the iPod). However, I then remembered that Amazon's MP3 store is DRM-free so I bought the song there, and here is the cool remix ...
Madonna - Give It 2 Me (Paul Oakenfold Edit) ...
Another song they have been playing lately at the bar I go to is Kylie Minogue's "In My Arms". When I first got the import of "X" a long, long time ago, I did not think much of this song, except for the fact that it had a really cool opening. However, after hearing the song in the club setting, it really has invaded my mind. The video is pretty cool, and I think they play some cool remix at the bar that makes it even better. Here is the song, along with some remixes and videos.
This song is actually quite old, but it is relatively new to me. I go to a bar that has a lot of TV screens and a large video screen, and they play some really cool videos. On Saturday nights, they always manage to work this song in, and it is always a crowd pleaser.
You can read all about Fedde Le Grand and Ida Corr on Wikipedia (they were both born in 1977 like me so they are automatically cool).
I am going to post different versions of the song here and some videos.
