That's one of the many songs I think of when it actually rains in Austin. Another good one is "Showdown" by Electric Light Orchestra. Anyway, it rained this morning in Austin, and I think it is still raining right now. It's so rare to see rain now that I thought I would take a video of it with my little Canon SD750 digital camera. There's nothing special about the video, but it is the best feeling in the world to actually see rain and lightning and hear thunder. Austin is in a drought right now so this rain is very much welcomed.
There is a remix of M.I.A.'s "XR2" by Blaqstarr that I was able to download from the M.I.A. Fans message board. The picture that I put with the song is from a party at the Museum of Modern Art in New York called the "Party in the Garden", I think. There is a better picture of M.I.A. at the same party at People's website. I got the picture for the song from Bonafide-Hustler.com.
Here is the photo from People's website that I like, but I wish it was really large ...
You can download the song here if you like.
Mozilla wants 1 million downloads or more on June 17th when the official version of Firefox 3 will be released. I have been using the "release candidate" of Firefox 3 (I don't know what "release candidate" means, but I think that is the right phrase ... kind of like "beta" or "testing version"), and I really love it. It is definitely the fastest browser I have ever used. I hate, hate, hate Internet Explorer, but I have always loved the Firefox browsers. I try to tell all of my friends, co-workers, relatives, and even members at my credit union to use Firefox because it is safer (especially when combined with Google Toolbar), and it is faster and more customizable (I don't think that's a word).
Here is a video about the release of Mozilla's Firefox 3 on Tuesday, June 17th ...
In case you don't know where to go to download Firefox, the website is right here!
You can also download the latest "release candidate" of Firefox 3 before the real, official version comes out on Tuesday.
I can't wait to buy Tori Amos' new album, American Doll Posse. It comes out tomorrow in the States, but I am sure everyone in the UK already has it. There is a very good review of it at the Undented.com site ...

I downloaded the song, "Teenage Hustling", which has a lot of guitar in it. The quality is not that great because I had to turn the volume up on my computer more than usual to hear it well. I love the sound, though.
Here's the song ...
The reviewer says that Tori had some problems with her two most recent albums of original songs, Scarlet's Walk and The Beekeeper. However, I disagree. I actually liked those albums, especially Scarlet's Walk. He thinks that "Ribbons Undone" was awful, and I can see why a lot of people would dislike this song; but it has a pretty cool sound to it, and it fits in nicely in the context of the album.
